Education
Fossil Charter School
The Fossil community and Fossil Charter School are nestled in a quiet valley of north central Oregon. Fossil Charter School has a total of about 85 pupils, kindergarten through twelfth grade. Fossil Elementary School currently has about 50 students K-8, and Wheeler High School has more than 35 students. With a teaching staff of 9 and a support staff of 7, The Fossil schools offer a variety of programs.

Mitchell School District
Mitchell School is K-12 and has a student population of 56. There is a boarding residence on the school grounds with students from all over the world as well as from Central Oregon. Mitchell School is located on a bluff overlooking scenic Bridge Creek in the small ranching and retirement community of Mitchell, Oregon.

Spray School District
The Spray School District has a current enrollment of 44 students K-12. The campus includes five separate buildings with three contained classrooms: one houses K-3 and 4-7, one houses 8-12, and the central services building contains the administration offices, cafe, library, and media center. The Spray School District offers a strong academic and activities program for all students. We maintain updated technology and a variety of distance education offerings.
